Very Positive ReviewAug 11, 2009
By Craig A. Eddy I pretty much knew (from research on the web) what the knife was and what it would do. Wenger is a well known name in Swiss Army Knives, and well respected for their quality and performance. But, of course, having the actual product in one's hands makes all the difference.
I was well pleased with the product when it arrived. It was exactly what I wanted and just the size I was looking for. However, the thing that pleased me the most was the service. Both Amazon and the company delivering the product (partnered with Amazon) made the experience pleasant for me. The price was right, and the delivery time was VERY acceptable.
Thank you both, very much.

Perfect size, perfect toolAug 14, 2010
By S. Woodruff I had a classic SAK that was a gift when I stood up at a friends wedding. Had an engraved panel on it with my nickname and it was nice. I carried this on and off in my pocket but found that it was just slightly too small sometimes. I bought another SAK - and it was a 3.5" model and just too wide to keep in my pocket for daily carry. This was the perfect compromise -- under 3" but with plenty of tools. The eye-glasses screwdriver is excellent and the scissors are quite sharp. You can't go wrong here.

lasts nicelyDec 28, 2008

I got mine as an aniversary gift 12 years ago..... has worked great, except the cover came off the in the last year on one side. Looking to upgrade because I get it caught on things where the cover was.
This would be 5 stars, except for the fragile toothpick.Jun 04, 2011
By Dave Shiffman The toothpick is too rigid, and will break instead of bending when even modest pressure is applied. I ordered a replacement the first time it happened, and then ordered FIVE when I broke that one the same day I received it. Within little more than a month I was down to the last of those. When that one followed its predecessors I looked for a substitute - and I actually found a pretty good one! I frequently use the "mini" nylon cable ties to organize computer cables, so I always have some of them around. The latch end has a molded collar to receive the tapered end, and a tiny latch lever inside the collar to engage the serrated teeth on one of the flat sides of the body. The opposite end has a rounded point when viewed from the flat side, and the first 1/4 inch is flat and smooth on both bottom and top, to allow easy insertion into the latch. After that, one side remains smooth while the other begins the row of "teeth" that engage with the latch after insertion. I cut off about 2 inches of that tapered end and used a small pliers to bend the cut end over and squeeze it down to where it retained a 90 degree angle.
NOTE: Allow that bent part to be a little too long, and then use a fingernail clipper to shorten it to fit properly - it NEEDS to be a little longer than the original, or it will be hard to remove! Figuring out what to do with the severely shortened cable tie (with latch) is your problem.
