5HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- Best SAK in my collection!Jul 09, 2010
By Mark
I have a collection of 5 or 6 swiss army knives, some Victorinox some Wenger, and this is the best SAK I own! I wanted a pocket knive that I could actually carry in my pocket, and I think I found it. Many Swiss Army knives are designed for specific jobs like fishing, camping, or mechanic, and the everyday tools are too small and too basic. But the Evolution 16 is perfect for the casual user. It has all the basic functions (Large blade, scissors, file, etc.) But it also has can and bottle opener, screwdriver, and reamer in a package about 3/4" thick. The scissors are superior to that of victorinox; they are serrated, the and the spring is more powerful and more durable. The blade is sharp, and the grip is sleek and user friendly. A lot of wenger tools are difficult (and often painful) to open, but these are easy to pull out. Also when buying SAKs always buy from SwissOutpost; they sell SAKs cheaper than most, they have a broad selection of brand name high quality products, and they have speedy delivery (ordered my knife on tuesday and arrived on friday!!) hope this review helped

4Initial review after purchasing the item without opening the box....Dec 08, 2011
By Dan
Just bought this item as a gift for my friend. I have not opened the item or seen the contents but I have enough worries that I decided to post an initial review first, after I meet my friend on Saturday and give him the item I'll update the review again.
First off the box does NOT look new. It definitely looks worn out, maybe it is because the shipping but definitely looks like a used box. Secondly, there is a lot of applied clear packing tape on both ends of the box and this definitely makes the item look used. I can't imagine a new product would shipped like this because honestly it looks terrible. Also another thing that is concerning is that I bought the pocket knife in black but the box shows a red knife instead. It could still be that in knife inside is actually black but I'm very skeptical at this point.
Again I just want to say I haven't opened the box and seen the actually item yet but I just wanted to warn future buyers because honestly this items looks like it's used and not even the right color...anyways future update probably Saturday night.

****EDIT: Couldn't wait till saturday, thankfully the knife is black and as far as I can tell it hasn't been used before. I'll probably take out the knife and manual and wrap it something else because honestly the box looks horrible. So if you're looking to give this as a gift just know the packaging may look horrible but the knife itself looks awesome.

I tried the Super Tinker, but ended up liking this one just slightly better. I like the curved handle, and really like the black color.
