Swiss Legend Militare No 1 LOVE IT!Jul 09, 2011

I had been looking at this watch for a few months but was daunted by the price. Nevertheless I was constantly drawn back to it on a weekly basis until I finally succumbed. I was not disappointed!
There were a few initial teething problems. The winder came with a US plug. I had to buy an adaptor. The adaptor blew my electrics as it was faulty. Frantic I called the US and spoke to a great customer service lady who told me to wind manually. The first few manual winds are difficult, the crown is hard to turn to begin with. It becomes easier and is not needed if the watch is worn regularly. I reckon three days no wearing will need a manual wind. This watch however is stunning and more so than the images on amazon show. Including the crown it is a full 60mm. The strap is a great quality leather with superb contrast stitch. It is heavy, without being too much so. Heavy enough to feel its there. And it is big. It evokes various comments from others such as "Wow, you have Big Ben on your wrist", I don't think I have ever owned a watch that I loved more than this one. Am now seriously drawn to the black and brown strap versions!
