5Great Watch!May 17, 2010
By B. DESOTO "BDeSoto"
I never write reviews about anything I buy, but I felt that I needed to because this watch has had zero reviews written on it but is an awesome watch! The watch is EXTREMELY lightweight and classy due to it not having any of those "bright colors" that the rest of the Colormark series seem to have. The blue tritium is a little dimmer than the green stuff but overall still very visible in "low light" conditions. The strap is very comfortable for being made out of rubber. The vertical tritium vial on the bezel is visible and I only note this because some have stated that the Colormark series seem to have been lacking in that department. The only downside is that the second hand does not sweep directly onto the second marker. This may or may not be a huge "turn off" for most people but I have never owned a watch that had the second hand come close to the second marker on its sweep. However, this watch actually does come the closest to having the second hand "sweep correctly." All in all, this is a great watch that will be my "kickaround" watch from now on...I hope this helps in your decision making...

5best watchOct 29, 2010
By OutDoors
This is by far the best watch I ever bought. I had a swiss army summit xlt for years and replaced it with the same watch because I loved it so much. The only time you would ever see me not wearing that watch would be walking through metal detectors at air ports. I like watches that have a tactical look to them. Big watches or watches with a ton of bling aren't my style. When I would wake up in the mornings before my alarm clock sounded, I would have to hold my wrist inches away from my face to see if I had to get up for work. The markers around this piece aren't green paint that has to "charge" in the light. They're tiny tubes filled with a radioactive gas that luminates 24/7 with or without light. The blue markers look so sick and the orange 12 indicator is just as sharp. Supposedly the gas will emit the light for up to 25 years. The watch is made from carbon which seems to be very strong and is definitely very light. This might be hard to picture, but there are two little flares on the waistband that keep the two bands that hold down the excess strap in place so they don't slide up and let the excess band stick out. You can't really see the numbers on the face of the watch since its blackest out, but the markers around the face as well as the ones on the hour, minute, and second hand are white in daylight and are very visible against the contrast of the black face. The strap is a silky plastic that feels great against my wrist. Plastic is so much better than leather or fabric because it won't stink or decay after a while. If you're looking for a watch that looks tactical, this watch is for you. I would recommend this watch to any of my buddies.

5Very nice watchOct 04, 2010
By Adam Wineinger "Bike Doc"
Purchased this watch in Denver on a business trip. I absolutely love it. I had done some research before and knew this was the watch I wanted. Hard to find, so decided to pick it up when they had one in stock. Thoughts:

1. Lightweight - I do not even notice it on my wrist which is particularly important for me.
2. Bright - The radioactive display markers are very bright at night, no problem at all telling the time.
3. Beauty - I think it looks better in person, than online. One look at this in the store and I was hooked.
4. Comfort - I almost bought the NATO band which is canvas and fairly nice looking as I have had problems with sweating using rubber bands in the past. No problem with this watch. I do wear it a little loose - that coupled with the low weight makes a nice sweat free wrist. Pleasantly surprised.

Overall, very happy with this watch. If you are on the edge, don't worry buy it - don't think you will be disappointed.

1Worst watch I have ever purchasedMar 29, 2011
By pato21
Purchased and received the blackout watch early this year, and it hasn't worked correctly since it arrived. Constant stopping, dropped hours per day, etc. The ONLY thing that worked was the illuminated dial, but that it worthless if the time is incorrect. I brought it to a local repair shop--the watch failed the pressure test for water resistance (remember this is allegedly a "Navy SEAL" watch), and it still didn't work after it was cleaned and resealed. Sent it back to Lumondi, in RI for repair, they never contacted me, but charged me $75 for a "major overhaul" on a watch that was less than 3 months old. I truly hope that there are not any .mil types wearing this POS in a combat zone and relying on it to do anything except tell you the wrong time. "Navy SEAL"--ha! I wouldn't trust this watch in a shower, much less in a maritime environment. Worst $225......$300 after repair....I have ever spent.

1Great Watch, BAD SELLERJan 21, 2011
By Steves
First of all, this is a fantastic watch. Light and good looking with great night time viewing.

Word of caution though, I bought my first 3051 from this seller, Dexclusive. The watch came with the serial number on the back scratched off, more like gouged off really, and the warranty card from Luminox was replaced with one from Dexclusive. I returned mine to Amazon and gladly paid a little more for one from a local jeweler with a serial number and factory warranty. Just wanted to share my experience with buying a Luminox 3051 from Dexclusive.
