Ludicrously hugeSep 15, 2008
By Ian C. Guch
"misterguch"
I didn't pay very close attention when I bought this. I thought the style was cool, and that the watch would be a normally sized one (I wasn't paying attention to the specs). To say that I was surprised that it was so huge is an understatement. The heft of it on my wrist is huge - more of a "wristclock" than a "wristwatch". I was so surprised by the hugeness of it that I kept asking my daughter (who is 16) whether I should return it.
After a while, though, and some wearing, I realized that this ludicrously huge watch is also ludicrously nice. It's obviously well-built and definitely has a style that stands out. I certainly will NOT be returning this one!
My advice: If you don't want to attract attention with your watch, for God's sake don't buy this watch. However, if you want something distinctive that looks like it will last forever, this is the watch for you!
Update (40 days later): I still like the look of the watch, but the stopwatch feature now resets to two seconds rather than to zero seconds. A little thing, I know, but it kind of defeats the purpose of a stopwatch to be two seconds off.

BIG on style...Aug 07, 2007
By e. S. b.
"One blessed man!"
I received this watch as a gift this past weekend, and I wasn't quite prepared for what would come in the yellow Invicta box. I have admired the various styles of Invicta watches for a while now and knew they had a reputation for their hefty size and being well made, but even with that prior knowledge I was caught off guard by this watch.
To say this is a BIG watch would be an understatement. I am 6'3" tall and this watch looks big on me. The body is thick and the face of the watch is wide. (Amazon is not kidding in their description when they say the watch is almost 2.5 inches wide.)
Now that I have had a few days to adjust to it, I love it! It is very well made, the design is very stylish and it definitely garners attention. I wore it with a long sleeve shirt and a sports coat the first time and it still managed to catch many eyes and spark conversations. (I wore it once with a short sleeve shirt and probably won't do that again because it is so large.)
If you like hefty watches that are well made, then this watch fits that bill. I you are reserved and don't like to be flashy then you may want to consider another watch.

Great Deal!Nov 07, 2008
By D. Anderson I want to start by saying that this is my 2nd Invicta of this "large" size. My other is model 4603 (Russian Diver's Watch). My only concern when ordering this watch was a comment from another customer referring to the "yellow color" on the face. I was pleasantly relieved to receive a watch with a light cream face. It also has a beautiful black leather band, an accurate chronograph and a very easy to read date. Whenever I wear either of my Invictas, I get positive feedback. Several of my friends have ordered theirs after seeing mine.
There are a couple features that I prefer on this Corduba over my Diver: -The crown cap has a lever vs. a chain (you don't get that occasional annoying tickle of the chain against your wrist). -Next is the shape of the crown cap; it is beveled on the wrist side so that it doesn't abrade your wrist if it slides down a bit. -Another thing is the weight; it is about half the weight of the diver so it is very comfortable to wear on a daily basis. -The price is great for the quality of the watch.
-My only slight worry about this watch is the elevated crystal; it is raised about 1/32 inch past the bezel (making it susceptible to scratching).
Overall, I strongly recommend this watch to anyone that is secure enough to wear a watch that is a little larger than a silver dollar.

Big and BadassApr 30, 2010
By M. Pham I've had my Invicta 3449 Corduba for about a month now and hold the watch in a very positive light. I would consider giving it as a gift. In my opinion, not a "wear-everyday watch", but a "wear-most-days" watch (most=2/3 of time). I like it a lot and find it aesthetically pleasing when worn. It looks and feels as if there is some good heritage and tradition behind this watch. Not too flashy, but simply and solidly built.
Addressing some other peoples' complaints with my personal experience:
1. "The watch hands are small and makes it difficult to read the time"
I do agree that Invicta could have made the watch hands larger to make readability better; however, I don't find any extraordinary effort or annoyance in reading the time. I glance at it and it takes me about 2-4 seconds to find the time.
2. "The watch crown digs into the back of your hand"
I don't have any issue with this. From what I can conclude, the watch crown digging into the back of your hand can occur from the watch sitting most distally (most toward your fingertips) *AND* if you flex your hand back to touch the crown. If you find your hands flexing back because of whatever you're doing, you'll probably have to sit the watch higher on your wrist.
3. "The watch is gaudily big. Flava Flav!"
The watch is big enough to get noticed and when you look at it sitting on your wrists, it seems very big. However, if you look at it in the context of your whole body, you'll find that it is a large watch but not something unusually out of proportion. I think it looks masculine and youthful (I'm in my 20's).
4. "Too big that it won't fit on long sleeve shirts" / "Some issue putting it in pockets"
This is true depending on what kind of long sleeve shirts you wear. All of my long sleeve sweaters, hoodies, and most jackets with flexible wrist ribbing fit over the watch. However, for most of my button-down/collared shirts, the sleeves fit snugly over it and it is a tight fit (but my sleeves doesn't get stuck. my sleeves will naturally go over the watch again if I raise up my arms and the sleeves move out away from the watch). My collared shirts are medium Express modern fitted (should give you an idea of sleeve size). So, if you want to wear this with a button-down, collared shirt, make sure you have sleeves with some room or consider rolling up your sleeves.
Also, there can be some issue when digging your hands into your pockets if your pockets are deep. The watch may catch or not allow your hand to go into the pocket. If you have to fit your whole hand in your pocket to grab something, consider putting it in your right pocket. I don't have much issue with this.
5. "Strap is short and stiff"
True. The "calf leather" strap is relatively short and stiff. The only trouble I have with this is putting on/taking off the watch. There are two "holder bands" (like belt loops) that hold the strap in place after you buckle it in. One of them is immobile (it's sewn onto the band) and the strap must be placed through it. I don't consider this a big issue. However, if you take off and on your watch a lot, you might find this annoying. You may consider cutting off that first, immobile strap for easier looping through the remaining strap holder.
Some important things to note that weren't explicit stated so you're not surprised.
1. It's "Japan Quartz Movement" and not a "Swiss Movement". But, the chrono works well enough for me and the watch seems accurate. 2. (Refer to picture). The clock-seconds is kept by the bottom dial (continually runs). The chronograph-seconds is kept by the traditionally seconds-hand that rotates in the same region as the hour and minute hands. This seemed to confuse me for a while until I figured it out (maybe I'm just a noob). 3. Don't forget to register online to extend your warranty to 5 years for free. Follow instructions on the Amazon.com product page for this special offer.
I will update on durability (like watch face scratchings, case scratchings, leather fading). So far:
1 mo: No scratches or leather band fading with me wearing it daily 5 out of 7 days of the week. No exposure to water yet.

Impressed and SatisfiedOct 30, 2008
By Michael R. Stoller Jr. I wanted a BIG watch and this doesn't disappoint at some 52 MM. It's big. I have worn it casually and with suits to work -- a touch tight with some shirt cuffs under sport coats.
First and foremost, I like the watch. The pale yellow face and black offer a nice contrast. I'm wondering if white would have been better -- not sure how I'm going to feel about that yellow in 6 months. The lines marking the minutes also give the face a bit of a busy appearance... even on something with so much real estate across the face believe it or not.
Where I was most skeptical was the operation of the watch. I am very satisfied and happy about how precise the movement appears to be, including the chrono function. Very nice weight to the watch to give a sense of solidness. With the sale Amazon was running on this watch, and a $50 gift certificate, I bought this with the mindset of it being disposable after 3 months if it was garbage. I now have reason to believe this watch will be a very solid performer for a few years and maybe longer and a unique addition to my watch collection.
Still would not pay $495 list for it, but if you can get at <$150 or so, I think there may be real value here. Maybe great value. This brand is new to me.
