5Citizen Aqualand Eco Drive Promaster BJ2135-00eMay 27, 2011
By Gonflyn
Nice watch. Brushed stainless steel, rubber band and really cool looking and unique carbon fiber unidirectional bezel.

49mm case. Its a fairly big watch but doesnt look quite as big as the specs might suggest due to the depth
sensor on the left side accounting for a few millemeters by itself. Lookswise I'd say it appears more like
about a 45-46 millemeter piece overall. Thickness is about 16mm and it sits moderatly high on the wrist.

Three subdials - seconds, minutes for chrono/stopwatch function, and 24 hour indicator (nice but its slaved to the main hour and minute hands, wish you could set a different time zone, i.e. GMT). Second hand has three
functions, power reserve indicator, depth meter (up to 125ft) and stopwatch/chronograph. The chronograph is
a little unusual in the respect the when resetting, it "unwinds" all the way back to the start rather than
just making one sweep around the dial to zero the stopwatch, i.e. if the chrono has been running for five
minutes the second hand will run backwards through five revolutions of the dial, fairly quickly, but still
kind of time consuming if you're in a hurry to reset.

Black dial is crisp and legible and the crystal, while not sapphire, has a clear, quality appearance and is distortion free at angles. Luminescence is very good, as good as my Breitling B1, easily readable in the dark.

The rubber strap looks durable but is also soft and the watch is very comfortable to wear in general. Nice
solid looking buckle.

If you're into 44-49 mm sport chronograph watches you will probably like this watch. You can tell right away
this is not a cheap piece, the whole package exudes quality and I think it looks as nice as some chronos costing thousands more. Besides the Breitling I aslo own a Tag Aquracer and I believe this is a pretty good bang for the buck, especially at internet prices of $380 to around $520.

4Excellent watch with one flawSep 15, 2011
By Setesh
This watch is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures really don't do it justice, especially since they make the center face of the watch look light grey when it is really black (picture has reflection). The depth function works extremely well and was always right with my Oceanic VT3 all the way down to 86ft (lowest I went). It was easily readable at a glance in the clear Bahama water, but I think the large glow markers and orange depth hand would stand out in lower vis very well. We also spent 3 days at Atlantis splashing around in the pools and riding the water rides and this watch was never phased, no fog, no nothing, it worked flawlessly the entire trip. The bezel is 60 clicks which I love, and the pip is a good sized dot. The glow on this watch is incredible, very easy to read in any light condition, even after hours of no light at all touching the face. The first 3-5 days I wore it I did have some irritation from the band, but now I don't even notice it the watch being there.

Now for the flaw....the dial for the chrono (top dial) is slaved to the depth guage/chrono second hand. Every time you want to use the chrono it has to unwind 3 full revolutions to get to the 0 on the top dial, and when you are done timing it rewinds for the total time back to 0. If you use the chrono for 15 minutes and 30 seconds, it will unwind 15.5 times to get back to 0. This means that you spend quite a long time waiting before you can use your chrono and even more time waiting to use it again. They really screwed that function up which is sad because I really use a chrono a lot.

Other than that this watch is perfect! It makes a great backup depth guage/bottom timer and I highly recommend it.
