5Beautiful design, good executionApr 12, 2009
By A. Hustvedt
This watch has an amazing design. The plates above the mainspring, balance wheel, pallets and stem have been cut open so that most of the moving parts are on display. The back is an exhibition back, and the screws on the are anodized to be a blue color. The rotor also has a nice hole cut into it, so that you can see through the watch in many places. This is a beautiful watch to look at.

The band has solid links with a fold-over-pushbutton-safety clasp that works nicely. The movement hacks and hand-winds.

This is an inexpensive mechanical watch, so there are some issues with it that don't detract from the 5-star rating:
The seconds hand isn't a driven hand, meaning that it isn't in the middle of the gear train between the mainspring and the escapement. That means that it might be a little loose, and have a jerky movement when the seconds hand is falling. This is a SeaGull ST16 movement or clone, with all of the issues that come with it.
The other main issue is that the finish isn't great, but is definitely appropriate for the price this watch is selling for.
The lume on this watch is so ineffective that it might as well be white paint, which covers the hands and dots.

Neither a con nor a plus, this watch doesn't have any complications, so there is no date, 24 hour hand, day of week or other indicators, but skeleton watches with those features aren't nearly as beautiful as this watch.

Summary:
If you are looking for a beautiful skeleton watch to be a nice piece of jewelry at an inexpensive price, this is a very hard value to beat.

5Great Watch.Dec 01, 2008
By Thomas Vanderhoof
I purchased this watch a few weeks ago. I really love it. The arm band pinches hair once in a while, but I would imagine that problem would be with all bands of this type. It's kind of cool to watch the gears turn. Never have to wind it after the intial wind. I would say noone could be disappointed with this watch. I would buy a second one for a back up if I had money to waste.

5Very NiceSep 02, 2008
By Andrew Fischer
I like it! Out of the box I had to wind it a couple of times and it's run ever since. I like also (not that you would see it during regular use) that the back is glass as well. If you take the watch off you can see the mechanism that winds the watch, very cool! Armitron makes very good watches that last quite a long time, you can't go wrong.

5Excellent watch... Outstanding Price !!!Sep 18, 2010
By Athanasios Karakatsiotis "Thanasi K"
This watch was purchased as a replacement skeleton watch from a different manufacturer. The prior watch, R***C brand, purchased from Kohl's or JC Penny's, would never keep time correctly. I returned it twice. I finally got tired of updating the time 10 times in a 7 hour period and returned it. I saw this Armitron watch previously and decided not to get it. What a mistake. I left the store, set the time, put it on, rotated my wrist several times to start the automatic winding process... and BINGO !!!!!!!!!! I have yet to change the time, or manually wind this watch. I have been complimented too many times to count. I am just thrilled and happy. Buy this watch and enjoy it.

5A good watchJul 09, 2008
By R. Miller "triple stix"
I received this watch as a gift and I have been nothing but pleased with it. As with all watches with this type of band, some arm hair will be pinched on occasion. When I received the device it was already dead, just had to wind it a couple of times and hasn't stopped since. The info card does state that the watch will hold an approximate 40 hr charge. All-in-all a good watch for day-to-day use, but wouldn't use it while working manual labor or during work outs.
